ATLANTA, May 6, 2024 — Hospitality Ventures Management Group (HVMG), an Atlanta-based third-party hotel operator and investor, today announced that the company has named Linda Philp, CPA, senior vice president and chief financial officer. In her new role, she will be responsible for the company's accounting, financial reporting, tax, systems optimization/ technology and risk management functions.
"Linda brings with her a wealth of finance and accounting expertise that will provide immediate support for our property-level general managers and directors of finance/controllers and serve as a strategic partner for our owners and investors," said Robert Cole, CEO. "She is a big picture thinker and a hands-on leader, an ideal combination to lead the finance and accounting function. Leveraging her experience across hotel, restaurant, service and distribution companies, Linda will further strengthen our finance and accounting infrastructure to support HVMG's anticipated growth."
Most recently, Philp was CFO of Universal Turbine Parts, LLC. Prior service-industry CFO roles include Lodgian, Inc. and The Krystal Company. Additionally, Philp previously worked for large consumer products brands including PepsiCo, Kraft General Foods, Pizza Hut and Campbell Soup. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Philp received her MBA in finance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
